Our House Groups are an important part of being Church in today’s mobile and distributed community. With a large Sunday congregation, the House Groups enable members to get to know each other better and to offer mutual support, playing an important role in pastoral care.
Meetings in small groups around the area provide greater opportunities to share in prayer, study of God’s word, seeking to understand the place of Jesus in our lives. It brings laughter, learning, challenge, celebration, and action into the lives of members.
There are currently five groups that meet fortnightly in homes across Milton Keynes. Each group has its own personality engendered by its members who adopt a range of media to guide their programmes. These include, home-grown, or formal study-guides, videos and spontaneous discussions of current issues as well as a variety of social activities.
One further group meets weekly on Tuesday mornings at the Church. This with its crèche has particular appeal for those with younger families, and for those who prefer meeting in the daytime.
